Privacy Policy

I only collect what you choose to send me:

• Project briefs. Your name, email address, and the service, budget, timeline, and project details you enter into the brief form.
• Newsletter signups. Your email address, if you enter it.
• Free site audits. The website address you ask me to audit, the scores it received, and the email address you give to unlock the full report.
• The IP address a submission came from, stored alongside it. I use this only to spot and block spam.
• Bookings. If you book a call, the scheduling is handled by Cal.com and the details you enter go to them as well as to me. See their privacy policy for what they hold.
• Analytics. Aggregate, anonymous page-view counts, only if you accept cookies in the banner. No profiles, no cross-site tracking, no selling of anything.

I use your contact details to reply to you, quote the work, and deliver a project if you hire me. I use analytics to see which pages are read and which are not. That is the whole list. I do not sell your data, and I do not send marketing email to anyone who has not asked for it.

For enquiries and project work, the basis is performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering one. For the newsletter and analytics cookies, the basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

I use a small number of third-party services to run this site and my business. Each one only receives what it needs:

• My hosting provider, which serves this site and keeps standard server logs.
• A database provider, which stores form submissions so that I can read and reply to them. Only I can access it, and it sits behind a password.
• Cal.com, for scheduling calls.
• My email provider, for correspondence and the newsletter.
• An analytics provider, for anonymous page-view counts, subject to your consent.

I do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 12 months. Records relating to paid work are kept for six years, because tax law requires it. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. You can also object to how I am using it or ask me to restrict that use. Email hello@thedeji.work and I will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with my response, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

This site sets one small item in your browser to remember whether you chose light or dark mode, and one to remember your answer to the cookie banner. Neither is used for tracking and neither leaves your device. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them, and you can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

If I change this policy I will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than made quietly.
